Strangely, when I used the trial credits for testing the service, I could use the full VPN mode and share it creating a hotspot in my laptop to connect my nintendo switch. I decided to use the service and buy credits but I have been unable to share it again and my credits are decreasing rapidly trying it. I mean, I am unable to connect to the hostspot, it says that I have no access to internet.
The only difference now is that I actived WFP mode and selected some exceptions for the use on full VPN.
I don’t know if I changed something important or what’s wrong. Obviously I reseted the configuration but again, when I connect to the hotspot, it is unable to access to internet.
I don’t want to keep trying and run out my credits
However I think this is a separate issue. Did you check Internet Connection Sharing with Mudfish link if you want to share the mudfish connection with your Nintendo switch?
Yes, as I wrote before, during my trial, I could share the mudfish connection without any issue, using the tutorial in the link.
No task manager opened or MUDEC_00045 in the log (I am not sure about that last point but anyways the connection worked fine).
Finally when I started to use the service the issues begin. I lost 0.10 credits trying to share the connection (I suppose in other applications meanwhile I used full VPN mode without realize me) and after some time finally worked. I have been able to share the connection a couple of times afterwards but it is a long process and it seems to work random (So far I haven’t found a safe way to make it work). Mainly the ethernet 3 (tap win 32 adapter) has no internet access.
Umm… I’m not sure that how Windows-based the connection sharing would be stable… If you’re familiar with OpenWRT router, it might be better to build one though it’s too technical.
I have the same problem, when activate mobile hotspot on my PC for sharing connection to my PS5, on PS5 i choose the wifi name but it said can’t get IP address some kind like that. already use full VPN mode.
i have succeeded with sharing connection before but using ethernet method. but it bothering me to plug and unplug the cable from my router.
@jkt84 Not easy to say where your issue comes from. It looks like it’s caused by a difference between WIFI and ethernet. It might be more windows specific issue in my opinion. I’ll try to investigate this issue a little bit more.
Good to hear that it works fine after setting a manual IP on your PS5. However as you know, these settings are little bit cumbersome to set whenever you use Mudfish. So if possible, I’d like to recommend to use a router based on OpenWRT.
