I’ve uploaded some screenshots for you to review. I am new to Mudfish, I watched some YouTube videos on how to set it up, and it seems very simple. I made sure not to skip any steps, including adding “What’s My IP?”.
Anyways I am on a Mac M4 Mini, using MacOS of course. I’m living in the Philippines, and playing on OCE/Australia realms for World of Warcraft. The RTT tests for Australia average about 130-132, which is true because when I use ExitLag on Windows, that’s exactly what I get. However once I press ‘Connect’, the graph shows my ms/latency of 173-174, which is indeed what I get without using routing/tunneling such as Mudfish/ExitLag. It’s as if the connection is completely unaffected, even when I go to test it in game, it’s also 173-174.
I’ve already disabled the MacOS firewall completely as well. I’ve now made certain at least 10 times that I set everything up correctly in the Mudfish web-panel. I really want this to work, I am very happy to continue paying for credits if I can get this to work.
After review error code references in the Mudfish manual, I checked my MacOS VPN settings and it is indeed ‘Disconnected’, even while the Mudfish icon is at the top of my screen, and automatically opens my web browser to Mudfish web-panel, so this is very strange. I try to turn it on, and it will not let me slide it over to turn on. No error message.
I see that the solutions are to “Check that VPN Configuration for mudfish is installed properly”, “System Extension module for Mudfish is installed properly, you should explicitly enable the system extension module for mudfish”, and “Try to install mudfish package for Intel CPU. Sometimes it solves a problem”. But I don’t know how to do any of these things.
Update: I was able to get it to work. My issue was, when I first installed Mudfish, I did see the popup box from MacOS settings to “Enable or modify system security settings” - and instead of clicking on that, I just clicked the “ok” button - so basically I completely skipped over the part of allowing the mudfish extension to be installed and enabled.
Hi, I think I have encountered the same problem as yours, while I didn’t see the popup box you mentioned - “Enable or modify system security settings”, I have tried re-installed the whole application but there’s no popup box. Should I check anything in the Mac System Settings?
Go through the Mudfish manual again, it’s online. When you encounter these errors after you press ‘Connect’, screenshot those errors then click on ‘Learn More’ to take you to the Mudfish manual, it will give you a list of error messages and how to resolve them. For me, my errors did clearly indicate from the manual that the Mudfish extension wasn’t ever allowed and enabled by MacOS, because I had just clicked away from it the first time I installed Mudfish. After UNINSTALLING it first, then installing it again, I got that pop-up message. As soon as you open the Mudfish installer just wait and be patient for that pop-up message to appear, you should get two of them. It all depends on your Mac security settings too. For me I had to enter my apple password.
I would just try to review those instructions again and make sure you didn’t miss any steps. Once I realized I skipped an important step, it resolved itself instantly and now works as intended.
