the RTT on dashboard shows ~22

the RTT on dashboard shows ~220ms. But the ping in game is ~280ms. Is this expected?

Could you please confirm that it’s also same with Full VPN mode enabled?

Sometimes the different method to measure the ping between Mudfish and the game client makes this issue but not sure it’s at this moment.

Hi yes, I just tested with Full VPN mode enabled and it is the same issue. ~300ping in game. The lowest I saw was around 280ms.

I’m looking right now at the Realtime RTT on dashboard, and it shows 209ms. But in game is 300+

If you’re famliar with Command Prompt, could you please ping test to 198.20.200.244 while Mudfish is running? Please check whether that it’s even different… :frowning:

thats with full VPN obviously. Connected to the US West Los Angeles QudraNet

Thank you for the result of ‘ping’ command. If it’s one while Mudfish was running, 226 ms is a real ping from your desktop to the game server via a mudfish node you’d picked if the game server IP is on 198.20.200.244 network. So I think this issue would be caused by that 1) RTT checking method is different between mudfish and the game client, or 2) IP address for RTT checking is different. :frowning:

Perhaps my traffic is routing through the steam servers before the ESO
servers. Whenever there is a steam outage (like today!) I cannot log
into ESO either

I think it required the internal information of game client to understand how they had implemented. Sometimes the Steam client is only used for authentication but sometimes Steam provides the game server and network lines too. It’s up to their implementation in my opinion.
