Banana Pi R4 - OpenWrt 24.10.5 - Crash after few mins

Hey,

I have problem with Mudfish on openwrt 24.10.5 after installing all dependencies and Luci, the app starts quitting randomly. After that, I check 192.168.1.1:8282/dashboard, which shows an error (empty response). no page i have to restart the app either through UI or Terminal. down below I past all of (mudfish_stdout.txt & .conf file & system info). But when I use windows app, I have no issue, and it keeps running until i disconnect by myself.

Could you please remove the config file and test it again? I can see that you encountered the following issue:

[ERROR] Assert error in tweak_generic_bool(), mudrun_param.c line 210:
[ERROR]  Condition(0 == 1) not true.
[ERROR] Username: (null)
[ERROR] Target: arm64
[ERROR] mudrun Version: mudfish-pi v2.7.7

This message means that you have a corrupted configuration file.

I never seen this error in log. Where did you find it? Also each time i log in, the app creates a .conf file contains credentials login and other parameters.

Is there a way where i can debug the roots of the error for better troubleshooting? I will try your suggestion! And let you know.

Thanks

Even after deleting the conf file. Whenever I start Mudfish through Luci. it run for a preiod of time, then crash suddnly.

I run the mud manually, even with that still crashes.

prompts im using on mudfish-pi in /etc/init.d/
procd_set_param command “$MUDRUN_BIN” -P -u USERNAME-p PASSWORD -a 192.168.1.1 -S $(uci get network.lan.ipaddr) ## -S the SSL webUI not working for some reason thats why im using -S

Even with clean one still the same.

Here’s a screenshot of softwares i installed to make Mudfish work. see if they are causing the crash.

Thanks

Weird… Yep… It looks like Mudfish Launcher (mudrun) is crashing… :frowning: If possible, please send us coredump file if it’s created.

You can find mudrun.xxxxxxxxxxx.xxxxx.xx.core file under /tmp/ directory. I guess you upload it to https://www.file.io/ and share the link with me.

I uploaded multiple core files; see the latest and others for reference.

Please let me know if you find a way to fix it or it takes time for coding.
Thank you.

In case that link not working, this another one.

@weongyo

:frowning: Thank you for this corefile. However unfortunately it was hard to get the backtrace via gdb due to a lack of the symbols in the binary unfortunately…

According to the coredump, it says that it’s crashed by SEGFAULT. Frankly speking, it might be more faster that I tries to buy Banana Pi R4 from Amazon and reproduce it on my home. Yesterday I tried it with QEMU aarch64 + armsr/armv8 target to reproduce this but it was stable for 24 hours..

I updated a package a little bit at Index of /releases/openwrt/packages-24.10/mediatek-filogic/base/ link so you might try to reinstall the package again and test. But I’m not sure that it’s helpful.

If you want to use Full VPN mode via the command line, I think you might run /opt/mudfish-pi/2.7.7/bin/mudfish -u <username> -p <password> -f -s <sid> command. <sid> could be found at https://mudfish.net/api/staticnodes link.

Thanks for your reply, @weongyo
No worries, I will try your latest package. What you are doing is superior in accelerating and stabilizing the ping, and your continued support makes me feel confident that this issue will be solved very soon.

Regarding the full VPN, I’m aware of using it as it may tunnel all of my traffic through your network, which my confilcit with other apps I use in my network. As some of the apps i use don’t allow vpn connection and may block my accounts for suspicious activity. Very long story Q_Q.
But if there’s a way I can use it and it only tunnels the games, this is brilliant.
Thanks a lot for your reply and efforts. I will share with you any errors I might have encountered later here.

Unfortunately, still the same issue with the latest package.
First, I ran the app without any extra commands on mudfish-pi to:
procd_set_param command “$MUDRUN_BIN” -P -a 192.168.1.1

In that case, the singing page and dashbaord running ok other pages are not. Then I have changed the command to:
procd_set_param command “$MUDRUN_BIN” -P -D -a 192.168.1.1 -S

All pages are running ok, but the MUDRUN fails after some time.
I also did a clean install of dependencies. didnt help either.

I uploaded another coredump with the latest package. See if you can find something useful.

If you would like me to do anything, let me find out the issue, I’m more than happy to help.

I have also turned support on, if you can access the router to troubleshoot.

Thanks,

@weongyo
Update: 1 <<
After installing 2.7.8 14FEB2026 Version. The connection never disconnects, but there’s a glitch on webUI i’ll explain down below.

I made a fresh install of Mudfish on the router without and modification, and I installed all dependencies before mudfish app and Luci, then I started the service. I accessed the web and logged in. After I selected the required games and hit connect. Suddenly, the page crashed with an empty response error (I know Mudfish is running on background), so I gave it a couple of seconds, then I refreshed the page it came out with 100% message, it’s connected. But a few minutes later, all pages on the webUI crashed again. Now I can’t access the webUI; however, the connection is still working greate no disconnection whatsoever, and service on OpenWRT shows it’s running with the same exact pid number in the beginning.

Update: 2 <<
After adding -S to /etc/init.d/mudfish-pi, now pages are working and the service running. will do a test for more than 1 hour.

Update: 3 <<
With -S, its been 4 hours with no interruption. Looks like it’s working now, as it should with version 2.7.8.

Thank you for your awesome work.

@weongyo
I can confirm version 2.7.8 is stable for more than 24h with no crash so far. With -S parameter on /etc/init.d/mudfish-pi.

Thank you weongyo, you can close the topic as it been solved now.

Cool! :slight_smile: I hope now everything goes well with mudfish. Please let me know if there are any other problems.
