Can I get help confirming whether or not I’m using one node or two? I was examining the nodes menu under Status -> Nodes and believe I may be routing my traffic through more than one node, and now my FastConnect does not appear to be working (no discernible in-game difference between using FastConnect and not using FastConnect).

Please check How do I know if its working? section and check the realtime graph whether it moves like that.
FastConnect mode does switching how Mudfish works but it’s not guaranteed if always make better performance.
VPN connection isn’t always working as direct connection. There are also some gateways like in normal connection. You can inspect how network traffic goes on with tools like
WinMTR or
PingPlotter.
RealTime graph works as it should. FastConnect was working for some time last year (around the time I first used it - November) but seemed to have stopped working in December.
Not sure but may related with SEA cable things
