First of all thank you for the services that you are offering.
I am Dota2 player living in Korea who plays on South East Asia server. I usually connect to SEA server with 500 ping without Mudfish(that gives ~2 seconds delay)
Fortunately, with Mudfish I get to play on SEA server with less than 200ping(with less than 0.5 seconds delay)
However, the problem is, when i use Mudfish, I sometimes experience packet loss up to 60%. This is even more frustrating than delay as clicks/commands don’t respond at all and random spikes occur.
I was wondering if Mudfish was aware of this and is trying to fix the problem. Is there any way/configuration settings that I can try to eliminate packet loss and delay?
Hope you address this problem as soon as you can.
Thank you again for your services and the frequent updates. Very much appreciated!
Thank you for using Mudfish Cloud VPN to play a game and it helped a little bit. The pleasure is mine. Can I know that what Mudfish VPN server you’re using? Depending on VPN servers, the packet loss and spike rate could be vary.
I’m recommending en.loxch.com/rttmap/ page for all users to know about RTT status between each continents. Please visit the link and select the following nodes then see RTT status. It’ll show you RTT status between each Mudfish VPN nodes like mesh-style:
HK Asia (Hong Kong - AsiaData)
KR Asia (S. Korea - GNJ)
KR Asia (S. Korea - HCLC IDC)
KR Asia (S. Korea - KT2 IDC)
SG Asia (Singapore - Amazon EC2)
SG Asia (Singapore - Clodstra)
With this, you can guess what’s best routing path for packets to reach to Singapore. As you understand, the packet loss or spike rate isn’t things Mudfish Networks could control that depending on ISPs the result could be different. In a view of Mudfish Networks there are two things we could do to address this issue:
Find a new VPN node having better ping and network conditions then install Mudfish Server package on it.
Or implements a more smarter way to address this issue (e.g. Application Delivery Network model.)
With free nodes, I think there’s definitely a limitation at current service model so I’m implementing a different model called Application Delivery Network, ADN (not sure whether it’s available for non-paid users); it’ll deployed at least within 2 weeks.
