My game crashes/freezes and seems to disconnect PC from internet. The tap driver in device manager reads 2010, is this the newest? I have seen OpenVPN tap driver 4/2023 can we use that? Is it better?
Anybody else experience this?
TAP driver which used by Mudfish could be old but it has maximum compatibility with Windows if I know correctly though it’s not the latest. 
For years, it was working well without a big issue.
If you encounter any kind of game crash / freeze, please check How to check the basic functionality link first.
However if you don’t want to use OpenVPN tap driver, you can use Wintun driver instead. Please find it under ‘Setup → Program’ menu and clicks ‘Launcher’ tab.
