Glibc version requirement on Linux

Hi! Sometimes (*cough*patch day*cough*) I need to run Mudfish from within a virtual machine, and I’m stuck at Mudfish 6.1.3 because the newer versions all require glibc 2.38. Is this a hard requirement based on API usage, or just a build artifact? If the latter, would it be possible to provide binaries that don’t depend on 2.38?

Thanks!

:frowning: Umm… At this moment the latest mudfish is being built on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. So it looks like you’re using old linux distribution.

In the past we provided musl-based (no glibc dependency) packages for linux but no longer we do. At this moment, what I recommend is that you might be better to upgrade your virtual machine.

At this moment, we don’t have a plan to restore the musl-based package but let me create a JIRA ticket to follow up your request.
