Hey, I’ve tried using WTFast and mudfish out the past few days trying to get reduced ms for ffxiv, so far the lowest I’ve managed to get on mudfish is 175 and on mudfish about 145.

I wondered if there is anything else I can do on mudfish to try and get a better figure than 175? Thanks for any help

I’m not sure that how mudfish it could be helpful for you because there’s not enough mudfish nodes at GB region. :frowning: However did you check your ISP too? When I checked your RTT information at http://ko.loxch.com/userrtt/?uid=309944 link, it seems your RTT is littlt bit unstable.

Hey sorry for the late response, I’ve been using fast connect now with ffxiv and noticed good results. I’ll look into that RTT information, thanks for the help.

I hope eventually there are more nodes in the GB region as mudfish is my preference for this.

So recently after making some changes to my internet settings/drivers and using fast connect I am getting good results in the main world of ffxiv, however me and a australian friend (also using mudfish) have noticed that inside of instanced fights our latency becomes noticably worse.

Do you have any idea as to why this would be and if there is any way to resolve the issue?

I already contacted ffxiv about it and they basically just sent me the usual copy and paste message about how to reduce my latency, despite that not being the nature of my question.

Do you have any idea as to why this would be and if there is any way to resolve the issue?

How many people do you play with at that moment? For other games (e.g. Blade and Soul), 20 ~ 30 people raids use hugh network traffics. So I’m not sure this kind of latency is from this or from others.

Did you try to use other mudfish nodes too?

Its 8 people including me, I’ve tried other nodes too, any ideas?

Nop. If you’re familiar with WinMTR or PingPlotter, please try to test against 204.2.229.92 after turning off FastConnect mode. I’m not sure it shows some hints about why.

When I ping the servers meanwhile using fastconnect mode I get “timed out” back, my friend who also uses fast connect says when he pings it he gets a result of “1 ms”.

Is this a problem? and any ideas how to fix it?

Which IP did you use? If you’re Full VPN mode + FastConnect mode and its IP address was a IP of mudfish nodes, I think ‘1 ms’ doesn’t make sense to me.
