Mudfish doesn't work as intended unless I am in FullVPN mode

I’m trying to play paladins in SEA (i am from New Zealand and go to SEA because OCE ranked isn’t a thing because its dead) and if I connect to mudfish and try to play, nothing is actually changed and my ping stays the exact same as if I am not using it at all. It stays at around 230 when and when not connected. I have the correct item equipped. Perhaps it’s a detection issue? I haven’t tried with other games yet and don’t intend to.

However, if I use FullVPN mode and try to play, it gets lowered to 120 and feels smooth. The issue is, I do not want to use FullVPN because I don’t want excessive amounts of data being used on discord,spotify… etc.
