For some reason whenever I use an update beyond 6.1.3 Mudfish is not running. I tried the 3 updated version (6.1.4, 6.2.0 and 6.2.1) All 3 versions doesn’t run properly on linux. I had to revert back to 6.1.3 to be able to run it again. It opens something but closes without any errors or such. Any fix or workaround for this?
Facing the exact same issue, can’t update to anything newer than 6.1.3
@MasterRez @FadeExtz Interesting… Highlighted changes between 6.1.3 and 6.2.1 are
- WFP Item mode for Linux.
I think “the installation of the packet” is good but running /opt/mudfish/6.2.1/bin/mudrun process terminated abnormally, right? Did you try to run /opt/mudfish/6.2.1/bin/mudrun-headless instead?
And I’m curious which linux distribution you guys are using too.
EDIT: If possible, please remove /opt/mudfish/6.2.1/ folder and download https://mudfish.net/releases/mudfish-6.2.1-linux-x86_64.sh file and try to install it again. Then test.
I tried installing again as you requested and it seems to run fine now. Installed on top of the previous version without removing the /opt/mudfish/6.2.1/.
I’m running Arch Linux. Only problem now is the mudfish program doesn’t have any icon but that’s an easy fix.
Did you change anything with the sh file? I tried reinstalling and removing 6.2.1 many times but this is the only time it worked.
Edit: btw I didn’t run the mudrun-headless only the mudrun
I use CachyOs, also can confirm that the .sh script you linked in the edit works, installed it flawlessly and 6.2.1 is running now, thank you!
@MasterRez @FadeExtz Thank you for confirmthing that it works fine.
Yes I’d updated the package installer by fixing a umask issue on Linux.
Mudfish is displaying this error MUDEC_01563: Failed to lookup the process name for PID: 0 I don’t know if it affects the connection to the node but I can’t see anything about MUDEC_01563 any ideas how to fix this?
@MasterRez Thank you for reporting the issue. It seems it’s not good. If possible, please install and test with v6.2.2 found at Index of /releases/ link. I think it’ll show different error code and messages for this case but it includes more details
The version 6.2.2 doesn’t display any message at all. Also 6.2.0, 6.2.1, 6.2.2 stopped working (i’m on arch linux with kde plasma, using network-manager). I’ve deleted the folders, reinstalled, rebooted and nothing =/
Are you a user of WFP Item mode on Linux? If not, please turn it off. Since mudfish v6.2.0, WFP Item mode for Linux is introduced.
Hey, Weongyo, after the day I posted that MUDEC_01563 it hasn’t come back ever since but I’m upgrading to 6.2.2 just in case.
Sorry it took a while for me to reply.
@MasterRez Thank you for your feedback. Please let me know if there’s somethiing I need to check.
