Hi, the app was working fine earlier today, but now I seem to be not able to get a ping less than 350ms from NZ to SEA (SG) servers for Dota 2. When I check the routing, it all reports 120ms, but when I actually connect its consistently 350ms+
I have restarted my computer etc. Not quite sure what else to try.
Could you please confirm that it’s also same with Full VPN mode enabled?
If it works fine with Full VPN mode enabled, it means there’s something a problem in the game item of Mudfish.
For that case, I need to collect some game packets using Packet Capture with Mudfish.
Seems like the same in full VPN.
Looks like what happened is that AUS - SG routing has suddenly undergone an increase in ping. Probably due to cable repairs.
I guess we will just have to wait.
Thanks for confirming. Your diagnosis appears correct: the current cable outage between Perth and Singapore, together with the Indigo West repair, is rerouting traffic and increasing latency. Since Full VPN mode shows the same result, this is not specific to the Dota 2 item. Please try several different Mudfish relay nodes, as some routes may avoid the affected path; if none improves the ping, waiting for the upstream routes to recover is the practical option.
