Packet Loss and High Latency in FFXIV

Hello, I live in Singapore and connect to the American servers when I play FFXIV. I usually average 170ms even without mudfish, and only use it when my connection starts to get weaker for some reason. My ping has been skyrocketing lately, at around 400ms-600ms with insane amounts of packet loss.
I ran a traceroute without mudfish -

I thought turning on mudfish would fix the problem and while my ping seems to have gone down going by the numbers, the game still feels extremely laggy and I’m still experiencing packet loss.

Since mudfish wasn’t working well either, I downloaded exitlag and the game seems to run just as it did before any of these problems started. Does anyone know why mudfish isn’t working well, are there any settings I can change or things I should check?

Could you please confirm that it’s also same with Full VPN mode enabled?

If it works fine with Full VPN mode enabled, it means there’s something a problem in the game item of Mudfish.

Full VPN mode seemed to be better and enabling WFP item mode also fixed it, my fault for not checking if those modes worked. Thank you for the help!
