Technical question regarding Multi Path Mode

Hello Mudfish Team,

I have a technical question regarding Multi Path Mode, specifically when the second relay server is manually fixed.

My current setup is:

Mode: Multi Path Mode(Max connections: 1)

First relay: Manually fixed (e.g. JP Asia (Tokyo - Aliyun 3))

Second relay: Manually fixed (e.g. US West (San Francisco - Digital Ocean 2) )

My first question is:

When using Multi Path Mode with a fixed second relay server,
will the login IP recorded by the game operator be:

Always the same IP address (i.e. stable egress IP from the second relay),

or a changing, non-fixed IP address?

In other words, although the relay location is fixed, does Multi Path Mode still allow the actual egress IP seen by the destination server to vary over time?

This question is mainly related to account login records and IP consistency on the game provider’s side.

The second question is:

Why is the instantaneous RTT latency different when I select the same configuration for the first and second relay servers in both advanced and Multi Path Mode modes(Max connections: 1)? Is this because the multipath mode is not actually using the relay server I selected? In multipath mode with a maximum connection count of 1, if the first and second relay servers are manually selected, is there a difference between multipath mode and advanced mode?

Thank you very much for your time and clarification.

Best regards

It should be fixed with second relay (so it’s an exit node before going to the destination).

The first relay could be changed and vary depending on the RTT status but never second relay will be changed if it’s manually picked.

I think I need some problem reports if I need check the full pathes. However please note that the connection is different. Here’s a flow example:

**Advanced Mode**

User -> Mudfish Node A -> Mudfish Node B -> Destination.

**Multi-Path Mode**

User -+---------------------+--> Mudfish Node B --> Destination
      |                     |
      +--> Mudfish Node A --+

So in the theory, the RTT latency could be different between the advanced and the multi-path.
